THE SCIENCE...
Natural hair has a protective coating often referred to as the cell membrane complex or the F-layer. One of the key features in the F-layer is 18-MEA…18-MEA is a waterproof protective coating which strengthens the bonds between the cuticles and maintains the hairs moisture balance. It even acts to decrease tangling in hair during the wet to dry transition.
18-MEA is susceptible to damage through alkaline environments such as colour, straightening and perming processes. The weakening effect is increased further as exposure to various chemical processes increase. When the F-layer has been damaged it is impossible to simply “replace” the missing 18-MEA as the chemical structure cannot bond with the hair in the same way as the naturally present ingredient.

HOW TO USE LUMI COAT
- Start with cleansed, conditioned and towel dried hair.
- Divide hair into sections, spray liberally and evenly on the hair.
- Blow dry the hair, section by section. Use a brush to add tension for the best result.
